Bring an appetite. They have food vendors, including kettle corn and ice cream. Captain Frank's will offer hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken strips. Hill Of Beans BBQ has barbecue. Hoggy's Ice Cream and Poppin J's kettle corn will provide desserts. A DJ will keep the party hopping and announce door prize winners.
We are excited thqt Ken Lingenfelter of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering will be signing posters and sharing stories. The National Corvette Museum Store and Insurance will be vendors. The Kentucky State Police will display their tricked-out truck. We will meet at the Hardee's near NCM, just off exit 28 at 7:00 a.m. for a drivers meeting, then we will hit the road at 7:15 sharp. With a 2 hour and 10-minute drive, a quick pitstop about halfway, and losing one hour (Eastern time zone), we should arrive around 11:00 a.m. Anyone who wants to tour that day, we encourage them to reserve a tour on their web page. We recommend the 1 p.m. tour. Go to their website at https://wildernesstraildistillery.com/ and book your tour now, as tours are limited and will sell out. You have options for the return drive home: 1. In a group taking a different route mostly on secondary state roads. We plan to leave Danville around 2:30 p.m. EDT. 2. Leave at your own time. 3. Make plans to stay in Danville (several nice motels) and check out the Danville/Lexington area.
